0.20.0 Beta
2026-10-07
- Two addresses at once. A preset can give its adaptor a second address, so you can reach a device on its factory address without leaving the network you're on (for example DHCP from the venue plus 192.168.0.250 for a camera). It shows in System Settings → Network as "(adaptor) (Network Switcher)", and goes away when you apply a preset without one.
- Keep the internet on Wi‑Fi. A preset's new Internet setting can move its adaptor to the bottom of the Mac's list, so web and email stay on Wi‑Fi while you're plugged into a show network that has a router but no internet. Or move it to the top to send the internet through it.
- Type the subnet. Enter a mask like 255.255.255.0 or a prefix like /24; the other form is shown beside it.
- Rule boxes for Wi‑Fi names, switch names and so on are now wide enough to read what you've typed.

- Reacts straight away to adaptors and cables. Plugging in or removing an adaptor, or connecting a cable, now updates the menu within about a second, instead of up to 30 seconds later.
- A preset only shows as active while its adaptor is connected. Removing an adaptor no longer leaves its preset ticked.
- Faster suggestions when you plug in. Switch details are forgotten as soon as a cable is unplugged, so plugging back in counts as arriving somewhere straight away, and a matching preset is suggested as soon as the switch announces itself (usually within seconds).
- Applying a preset to an adaptor that isn't plugged in now says so, instead of claiming it didn't apply.

- Beta versions: turn on Settings → Updates → Get beta versions to get new features and fixes before they're released to everyone. Test versions have it on already, so from this version on they update themselves.
- macOS should no longer ask for Location or Bluetooth permission again after each update.
